The Anti-PowerPoint Party

In Switzerland they are trying to get the numbers for an ‘Anti-Powerpoint Party’ to stand in the October 2011 elections.
The founder of the party, Matthias Poehm says that €350 billion could be saved each year simply by banning PowerPoint from public speaking.
They are trying to get 10,000 Swiss citizens to sign up and permit the party to stand for the election.
The web site is full of statistics and an alternative to PowerPoint.
One interesting page is the horror slides which include the now famous Afghan war slide.
The ‘solution’ proposed is the flip chart .

Now that I think of it there are some better causes that should start a party:

• The I want to party party.
• The real blondes party (definitely a minority group but a great conversation piece)
• The party for the abolishment of the working classes.
• The two day week and then party party
• The Australian Party! Party! Party! – this party, meant as a joke, actually received 989 votes in the a 1989 election!!!
• The Donald Duck party – formed in Sweden in 1991 it actually still active
• Cicciolona’s Love party which proved that pornography and politics can mix if you are Italian.
