Creative Kitchen Decorations
I have a pact with my wife. She cooks during the week and the weekends are mine. Cooking is one of my habits / pastimes left over from my bachelor years and I find it relaxes my nerves after a week spend attempting to tame unmanageable projects at work. Some of the simplest ideas are the ones that make your life worth living. I found this Orka Garlic Peeler and Grater on sale a couple of years ago in a fancy gadget and design store. My greatest problem with grating garlic up to then was the smell it left on my hands. My wife suggested using rubber gloves but they made me feel like a surgeon on E.R. All my misgivings regarding the purchase disappeared almost immediately after the purchase. All you have to do is feed whole unpeeled garlic cloves into the open chamber (see picture on left). By forcefully closing the chamber door and simultaneously turning the black lever on top the garlic gets miraculously pealed and grated. When you take the grater apart, one side contains the peel and the other the grated garlic. Presto! A kitchen miracle.
I found these pictures in a photo article on Dzinepress. There is no end to smart ideas designers come up with for the kitchen as shown in their 60+ creative ideas for kitchen decoration.
